market remains fixated to the 920-950 trading range on the S&P 500 index. At some point the index will have to either break above or below this range. That, if and when it happens, should help identify which direction the market will trade over the next couple of weeks

market looked weaker than it did a few weeks ago so we could see more of a downside correction over the next couple of weeks. However, technical backdrop remains positive so we think stocks should be able to attract buyers as long as prior low holds.

S&P remains confined to the 900-950 trading range. Apparently, the bottom of this range is quite strong while the upside resistance could be vulnerable. What this means is that the market could be setting up for a move above the 950 level on the S&P 500 index though it’s remained to be seen whether we can close above that level on a weekly basis
